The night after I planted my seeds, there seemed to be what I can only describe as a hurricane here in Hertfordshire and when I came down in the morning, disaster had struck and my mini greenhouse was on the floor. The disappointment I felt was immense, I have tried to salvage what I can, but it's not looking good. The worst thing is that we are away this weekend and as I work and am out of the house for twelve hours a day I can't even give it all another go until the following weekend, AND the sun is shining like a summer's day today, it's very annoying.

My Kitchen, the Potting Shed
Today, I finally planted some seeds. As the garden shed is still full of crap from the previous occupier the kitchen seemed like an excellent place to open a sack of compost. The Chief taster hated it, he is very tidy and kept poking his head round the door to look at me disapprovingly and tell me off for going out in the raining garden with bare feet, which I then kept walking back into the kitchen making a fair bit of sludge.
However, I got planted snugly into my mini greenhouse, tomatoes, leeks, beetroot, spinach, carrots, broccoli, chili's and some ornamental Japanese cabbages, just for show.
Now I just have to remember to water them and hope that I don't kill them this year.
